Bowl for Kids’ Sake
Bowl for Kids’ Sake (BFKS) is a great way to get involved with and support the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters. BFKS is a series of bowling events that anyone can take part in.

How does it work?
The BFKS season runs from February – August. Community bowling events are announced for different areas of Houston that anyone can participate in. In between, major sponsors of BFKS hold their own private bowling events for employees.

Form a Team, Raise Some Money
Each team consists of a captain and four team members. Each team member raises at least $125 by asking friends and family for donations. Then, each team bowls two free games during a two-hour bowling event with several other teams. It’s a fun way to raise money!
We make it easy for each team member to get to their goal. Each team receives its own website. Through your site, they can send out emails to colleagues and friends about their team and their fundraising. Everyone can also donate securely online through that site.
How to Participate
- Become a Company Coordinator!
- Recruit Team Captains from your workplace.
- Receive special incentives.
- Start your own team too!

- Recruit four additional bowlers for your team (your team
members can register online too).
- Each team member is asked to raise a minimum of $125.
Become a Bowler/Join a Team!
- Once your Team Captain has registered, you can join the
team!
- Use your team name to register online.
- If you don’t have a team, register as an individual and
we will put you on a team.
Raise Money to Help our Kids!
Once you’ve registered, you can start raising money to support Big Brothers Big Sisters. Set up a personalized, secure donation page (see “Register Online”) or collect donations in person. Collect donations from everyone you know!
Each team member is asked to raise a minimum of $125 – that‘s as little as $13 from 11 people! Big Brothers Big Sisters is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and contributions are tax deductible to the fullest amount allowed by law.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest amount allowed by law. Cancelled checks of less than $250 act as tax receipts. BBBS will provide tax documentation for all single gifts of $250 or more.
