Job Title: Match Support Specialist – Floater
Department: Programs – South/Central Regions
FLSA status: Exempt
Salary: $27,000/yearly
Position Reports To: Interim VP/Programs
Job Summary
- Provide quality, comprehensive match support to a portfolio of assigned matches, primarily school-based (however, will also involve community-based matches)
- Write comprehensive interview assessments and data input into a proprietary database
- Conduct regular site visit and contact calls to coach and offer guidance to volunteers, parents, and clients
- Conduct match introductions and assist with volunteer training
- Help plan and participate in quarterly regional Big/Little activities
Minimum Requirements
- Four year degree in social services, psychology or related field, or several years of experience in social services working with children in a non-medical capacity with some college
- 2 years experience in a case management position with a non-profit organization or social service agency where extensive follow up was required. Special emphasis was work with children
- Intake and interview skills
- Special training in child abuse and sexual abuse is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Accurate keyboard skills of at least 45 words per minute net
- Spanish fluency is strongly desired
- Work schedule flexibility for weekday after-hours interviews and training
- Reliable personal transportation – duties require in-city travel
- Either Live in or willing to work in South and Central regions of Houston (i.e.prefer close to Beltway 8 just north or south of I10.)

Job Title: Customer Relations Specialist

Job Summary:
Provide exemplary customer service to potential volunteers, clients, and other interested parties who inquire about BBBS’ mentoring programs, fund development, and other affiliated services. Ensure that responses to all inquiries are handled in a complete and timely manner. Process all required documentation and reporting, including data entry, within prescribed timelines and according to agency standards.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, psychology, social work or business
- 2 years customer service/relations experience handling a high volume of calls, inquiries, and issues resolution
- Experience working in a fast paced, non-profit or social services organization, preferably with a special emphasis working with children
- Formal customer service and interview skills training preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Accurate keyboard skills of at least 50 words per minute
- Spanish fluency is strongly desired
- Work hours schedule flexibility
- Reliable personal transportation
- Either live in or willing to work inside Beltway 8(Central region – main office)
- Above average communication skills (oral and written)
