Job Posting: Enrollment & Matching Specialist
Salary: $26 – $27k
Region: South, covers Bay Area to Ft. Bend
Position Summary:

Conduct in-depth interviews, write comprehensive assessments, and match volunteers and youth for BBBS mentoring programs.  Involves day travel to conduct interviews and participate in match activities in South region:  Bay Area/Clear Lake and Ft. Bend office sites and school-based locations.
Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology
  • 1+ years experience working within a non-clinical social services and/or school environment
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred
  • Possess capability to work with diverse populations
  • Schedule flexibility to work non-standard hours:  weekday evenings and occasional weekends in diverse locations
  • Reliable personal transportation for regular weekday travel within the South region of  Houston (outside Beltway 8 and south of I-10, from Richmond to Bay Area) – mileage reimbursement available

Job Posting: Recruitment Manager (Volunteers/Youth)

Position Summary:
Recruit volunteer mentors and youth for BBBS mentoring programs. Prospect, cultivate, manage and sustain partnerships with mentor-rich organizations such as faith-based, collegiate, corporate, and civic. Staff events, assist with recruitment-related taskforces, facilitate meetings and conduct recruitment presentations on behalf of agency to ensure an on-going pipeline of volunteers and youth to achieve aggressive new volunteer/youth grant match goals.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • 3 – 5 years sales, marketing, and relationship management experience strongly preferred
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred

Job Posting: Program Training and Events Coordinator

Position Summary:
Plan, schedule and facilitate program related training and events/activities throughout the great Houston area for volunteers, parents, and children to enable long lasting, strong match relationships and volunteer engagement. Assist with design and distribution of communications to volunteers, parents, youth, agency staff, and community partners. Assist with the development of training materials and templates for in-person and on-line training. Coordinate solicitation and distribution of gifts, scholarships, event tickets, and special assistance for youth. Work with the annual nomination and selection process for Big/Little awards. Handle regular collection, analysis, and reporting of training and event metrics and outcomes.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in recreation, training or human services field
  • Demonstrated training experience, including coordinating community resources, developing and presenting new material, and planning/coordinating activities and training events
  • Spanish fluency strongly preferred

Position: Director, Corporate and Foundation Giving
Location: Main Office – 6437 High Star, Houston, Texas 77074
Salary: $40 – $50k

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute annual strategy to prospect, cultivate, steward, procure, and renew corporate and foundation gifts
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation donors and prospects, including execution of an annual solicitation plan to secure gifts and grants
  • Represent and communicate full spectrum of BBBS programs, outcomes and giving opportunities to the corporate community and foundation funders
  • Collaborate with other BBBS resources to develop, offer strategic input, and review funding proposals
  • Assist with prospecting for, and connecting with, new corporate and foundation giving opportunities and partnerships

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales or non-profit fund raising experience, including prospect research, cultivation and solicitation
  • Possess the desire to grow and a willingness to participate in advanced training to support major gifts and individual giving
  • Professional poise to articulate the agency’s vision/mission in a compelling and inspiring manner
  • Possess a high level of oral and written communication skills
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge of the Houston philanthropic and non-profit community
  • Possess an outgoing, approachable, charismatic, persuasive and flexible demeanor
